Japan and Kazakhstan signed the Memorandum of Cooperation for establishing the JCM

On October 30, 2023, H.E. Mr. YAMADA Jun, Ambassador of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Kazakhstan, and H.E. Mr. NYSSANBAYEV Yerlan, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, signed the Memorandum of Cooperation on the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) in Kazakhstan. As a result, the JCM will be officially launched in Kazakhstan becoming the twenty-eighth partner country after Mongolia, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Kenya, Maldives, Viet Nam, Lao PDR, Indonesia, Costa Rica, Palau, Cambodia, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Chile, Myanmar, Thailand, the Philippines, Senegal, Tunisia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Georgia, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan, Papua New Guinea, the United Arab Emirates, and Kyrgyz.
